Gourmet Mustard and Garlic Beef Burger


Burger /ˈbəːɡə/ noun A flat round cake of minced beef that is fried or grilled and typically served in a bread roll.

Ingredients:
  • 500 g lean beef mince
  • 1/2 brown onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbs finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 4 burger buns, split
  • Lettuce leaves, grilled red peppers, garlic aioli, short cut bacon, fried egg, to serve
Method:
  1. Combine mince, onion, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and egg in a bowl. Season. Mix with hands and form into 4 burger patties. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  2. Place a frying pan on medium-high heat. Lightly grease the frying pan. Cook the burger patties for 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  3. Fill the burger buns with lettuce, short cut bacon, grilled red peppers, garlic aioli, beef patty, and a fried egg.
